Well, i want to have my own media company. I am obsessed with the Media.
For a living i want to affect people positively and make money while making people happy, and i want to do that through the media.

Travel memories: (Day 21)

Very funny question. I haven't traveled to anywhere memorable ooo.
I haven't left the shores of Nigeria.
I have only been to Onitsha, Nsukka, Portharcourt, Lagos, Ilorin, Benin, Kaduna, Calabar, Sapele, Abuja. Respectively.
The only one close to memorable was my Abuja trip. Others are just: Thanks for having me.

6.2.17

Something i"m trying to figure out. (Day 20)

This might sound very funny but i'm trying to figure out why some girls remain with guys who beat them, AKA abusive relationships AKA Domestic Violence.

It marvels me. I thought i had it figured out already oo.. my conclusion was that, Its because of money. Most times, the guy is rich and would buy a whole lot of gifts to apologize and these girls wouldn't be able to reject those gifts. I was sooooo wrong!
I recently saw a girl who is practically feeding her boyfriend because her parents are rich. She provides for the relationship, gave the guy funding to open a shop, and is still giving him small small money on top.
When i found out that GUS (real name not disclosed) beats this girl i was weak!! Like seriously???????????? What, is she possessed or something?? Why are they still together? what is going on??

I am still trying to figure it out honestly. I really want to know and please dont tell me its love! biko!

20 Facts about yourself. (day 19)

Thank God I had  done this type of post last year so i would just copy and paste. Because questions like this is not something you do in a jiffi. A lot of  ''urrmm what other fact about me sef'' involved.

So in no particular order, here are 20 factss about me.. "20' not everything

  • I used to be androgynous.

  • My actual life began 5 years ago when i gave my life to Christ. I didn't have any life before then. All these  strong, confident, positive, social, this and that lady started just 5 years ago. (Wow right?) Before then i was the total opposite of all those.. Lemme help you...The biblical definition of "a fool"..  Like very Foolish, stupid, insecure, stubborn.. The list goes on.

  • I talk a lot.. I"m not loud please please. I love to talk... I have so much to talk about... Talking is therapy for me...... I"m a good talker. Which is why you should employ me as your OAP/HOST. Thanks for coming.

  • Aha! My igbo accent is on fleek! Irony is, I studied English Language and Literature and .... I"ll leave you to imagine the "Strugo**in Benin accent** The amazing thing is that I am working towards becoming a media personality, i don't know how me and my accent will do it but **watch me whip, watch me nay nay**  I speak good English though don't get me wrong...

  • My human relations skill is top notch. Top 2da notch!

  • I play the guitar.. Not professionally though. I rap, i write, I eat, which is the main point! I love food and my favorite food is beans! Like i don't understand people who don't eat beans! Did you know that on the 7th day after creation when Jesus Christ rested, the Angels prepared beans for him. He ate and was Merry... Well, now you know!

  •  I bite my nails! (I'm biting it right now).. Even when i fix artificial nails, i bite them. This usually happens when i"m writing or reading.. But here"s the thing, i love neat cute nails, especially in guys. If you walk up to me and your nails are dirty. Forgerrit.

  • I love to arrange rooms.. I love to clean and arrange. I love neatness! Prim and proper kindah girl ry"here. ... I'ld love to learn interior decoration.

  • Mumsy bakes, makes clothes and designs wedding halls. (There's a name for it i"ve forgotten) but i didn't learn any of those things! I was too busy acting stubborn. I can bake to save my life though  but i didn't learn the expertise from mumsy. Thats probably the only thing i regret ! I wish i knew better.

  • I come from  a family of father, Mother and 2 kids including me. I have one elder sister and i"m d last. :) I was told back then that God created me a boy, but "they" turned me into a girl as a foetus! I don't know who "they" refer to but that story affected my growing up... (Tomboy much?)... However i grew up around a lot of guy.

  • I used to wish i was a boy.. Yeahhh! I always thought life would be so much easier as a boy.. Less drama and all of that. + my parents would benefit also. But here i am!... Beautiful and counting.

  •  I have two "role" models. Chimamanda Adichie and Mo' Abudu! I take pride in the fact we all share the same birth month... Or for fans of Zodiac signs, we share the same zodiac sign... I don't think its a coincidence.

  • I laugh a lot!!! And there is  no English word to describe my kindah laugh.. Lets just leave it like that.

  • I have a weird hobby.... Washing cars. I love to wash cars... The Love actually sprang out of hate.... I did it a lot growing up!... I hated it. But along the line i just developed genuine love for it. I think i wash cars better than some guys!... Yes i said it bye.

  • Some of my Family members still haven't gotten over the old me. They think it's movie when i make some kind of dope moves or say some kind of dope things.   But issoke! Immah make y'all proud i promise!

  • I am a good girl. NB. That sentence is deep!

  • They say i joke a lot and sometimes i say annoying things and think it wont hurt... Well, i didn't know that about me... I just started getting to find out.... LOL.

  • I like to play the fool sometimes(its not hard for me because i've been there).... Just so you think i don't know whatsup.. Then i go boom!

  • I am a media mogul and i own the dopest media house in West Africa. NB: If you don't have spiritual eyes you might  not see this
  • .
  • My name is chioma.

The end

1.2.17

DAY 17: Where do you work

WHERE DO YOU WORK?
Currently, i work at Mobicure enterprises. I work as the secretary and social media manager.
I manage the social media pages and perform administrative duties.

Learning a lot, and meeting a lot of people.

Whats the one thing you have wanted to do but havent yet. (Day 16)

My own talk show guysssss!!! Like i feel like screaming it. I cant stress it enough please. Like!!!

I want my own talk show. Have a whole lot of plans about it but haven't started yet.

Also i haven't entered an aeroplane before. Like real life aeroplane. 😊lol. I would also love to do that but haven't done it yet.
Then if this counts, leave the shores of Nigeria for once biko

How are you like your MA/PA? (DAY 15)

HOW ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MA/PA:
Hmmmmm. lets start with my Dad.
Even though i am fair(like my mum) and my dad is Dark, but people say i look a lot more like my dad than my mum. That's just it o.
I don't have any other thing in common with my Dad, apart from the fact  that we have the same surname. lol.

Then my Mum, wow. First of all: BEAUTY.. Allow me gush over myself alright? cool.😍
As i was saying, my mum was a very beautiful young woman and still maintaining  the title. I saw one of her old pictures and i couldn't stop staring.

Her hair was very healthy, with neat jerry curles, Her eyes very cute, like Chinese eyes only she was not light skinned. Her skin? Omg, Mirror! you could literally see yourself through her skin because it shone! like a well polished brown Italian shoe. she had a brown skin too. Not too dark not too fair.
She was tall, and had even proportion of assets.
In the picture i saw, she was wearing a maxi gown that hugged only her waist.
Naaah guys my mum is an angel. So yah! I took after her. Let me not start expatiating.

Secondly, Her combination of soft and strong. The only difference would probably be the spice of education.

I think thats all. well if you know my family and you have noticed anything that i have in common with my parents that i didn't include here, feel free to drop a comment.

Thanks.

Concert Memories. (Day 14)

well, i havent been to a lot of concerts in this my life. But the few I have gone for were memorable.
I remeber the first every concert i went for that LINKX(the artiste) smiled and waved at me. It was the h ighlight of my semester!
azzzzzzinnnn!!! All my friends heard it, i was like... ''waaaaaaah?? He noticed me in the midst crowd. I felt very special.

Then the best memory of a concert i have had so far was the VOH concert organized in Uniben auditorium. VOH means Vessels Of  Honour. A group of talented young people aimed at using talents to project Christ. We are into a lot of things actually, Like outreaches, free medical care, rural evangelism ETC.

So back to the concert. It was quite spirit lifting. People returned with testimonies and we had a lot of turn up for the concert.
The most interesting part was that i did my spoken word piece!! It was quite a ministration. Standing ovation and people really felt it. I was blessed to have blessed people.
And then there was this concert we organized at my church.. a gospel praise concert which i MC'd.

However, I have been wanting to attend the ''EXPERIENCE'' concert in Lagos. I cant wait for that time. Its in my bucket list.

Happy New month Guys! check out this throw back post.

Happy New month lovely people.
This is the 2nd month of 2017 and i hope you are checking your bucket list every now and then just to remain focused.

Today i decided to repost an article ''Teavhing practice diaries''. Just because i met a fellow blogger today who is quite ambitious and had already planned her retirement, just like me, and it was in the same field. She reminds me a lot about myself, shout out to you Kemi if you are reading this. I would love you to write about your teaching practice memories too. And to any other person who is/was an Education student reading this post, do write your memory, i would love to read.

So here it goes.:
********** ********** ********** ********** ********** ********** ********* *********

So here's the answer before the question, Yes"m an Education student.

I study English Language and Literature Education.
Chill.
I"m going to find out time to write on the unhealthy Rivalry between education and art students, where you hear stuff like "Education students are the olodos".
I mean, what Ignorance!
Story for another day alright?

So yeah!
We do teaching practice.
Like an internship, in any Junior Secondary or Senior Secondary school.
During TP, it is expected that we put everything we have learnt about teaching, into practice and perfect our teaching skills.
But hey, i took it personal Praise da lord?!

I decided to Develop myself through this medium, I wanted to be not just a teacher but a role model, a friend, a counselor, basically that teacher that students would talk to about anything......

My 1st TP was in my 200level, i went to an "ajebutter" school located in GRA Benin city. It was an awesome experience i tell you. I didn't have time to write about it, i really wanted to.
Which is why i have made up my mind to take you guys down this road with me. You are so going to enjoy this ride trust me.

This is my 2nd and final TP and  Unlike my 1st TP, i got posted to a Rural area, and i chose to teach SS3 this time (i taught JSS2 during my 1st TP) because i wanted to know how it feels to teach big people.. I mean, Ogas and Madams of the school.. As i expected, the students are very stubborn and they take pleasure in their ignorance.
Here, its like your level of ignorance determines the level of respect you get from your peers.

The name is Okada Grammer School. Located at Okada in Benin city.
This might not ring a bell to some of you but let me help you, the popular "Igbenedion University" is located here and OGS is right in front of the university and"ll remain ever grateful to God for the Spice and flavour IUO add to this environment..
*** ***** *****
We had already heard gists about these matured and fierce looking students and how they always beat up their teachers. Youth corpers especially. How the boys smoke weed at the back of their classes, how the girls have almost the same behavior as the boys, Etc.
So on my First day, i wasn't really excited about teaching SS3. Lol!
There was no glow...
I was dull..
And few minuted before my Period for that first day, i thought to myself, "naaa! You cant enter this class like this!
So i prayed.
Spoke in tongues, and channeled my inner lion!
MAGIC!
I entered the class.
                "Good Morning ma!"
       They screamed in thundreous voices.

           "Good morning sit down"
I said, letting out a confident smile".

"My name is Alexandra and i",m your new English Teacher".

I could hear them asking themselves, in pidgin "Woman dey answer Alex?"
           "Which kyn name be that"
                "Na corper she be".

"Rule No1! No pidgin English in my class! Do you understand?!

I let them digest that..
The class was noisy, and i was just waking about the class, observing. I wanted to notice the "Notorious ones" who didnt mind the fact that i was in the class, and the cool ones who respected my presence.
They were there expecting me to yell "Stop making noise".. But i didn't.
I kept on walking about looking at them for 60seconds.
Then everywhere went quiet!
I continued..
I told them to stand up and introduce themselves, because i wanted to know them by names...
I asked for their names and the course they wanted to study in the university.
I felt the question would make them remember that their is a life after OGS and they have WAEC to prepare for....
I also found out after they has answered the question that they all had dreams,.. Big dreams.
They were not Bad, and dangerous kids, they are normal teenagers who just get ruled by the spirit called Peer Pressure...
I could see the passion in their eyes as they said their dream Courses.
The Question wasn't a bad idea at all.
So i took 5minutes of the period to Talk to them.
Gave them some Motivational talk,
Gingered their learning spirit and all that.
ThankmGod i"m very good at that! GLOrEH!!

During that time, they listened ATTENTIVELY! i didn't feel like stopping!
I even went spiritual.
LOL.
Then at the end of my speech, when i said "Do you Understand"
I heard this very humble, organized  "Yes ma".
I felt good!
"Thank you holy spirit"!

I taught for the next 40minutes and they didn't want me to stop!
I could control them!
There were no noises!
And oh, i asked them their most difficult topic in English and they said "Letter writing" so i taught them Letter writing for a start!.
And they understood!
Very well,
I gave them assignment!
And i left the class like a boss!
I came out of the class Happy!
I couldn't stop thanking God.
Lol!

Will keep updating you guys alright?
Let me go and prepare my lesson Note.
Ciao!
